Greetings! I look forward to partnering with you in a co-creative process to inspire your personal and professional potential along your agile journey. My purpose is to coach you through agile practices and principles to help achieve astonishing results. Our focus together is to think broadly about organizational processes and practices and find ways to enhance agility and make work environment better for you, agile product development teams, and the company. I will provide coaching designed to meet your needs and generate a safe space for you to explore issues and identify actions to create momentum toward change.
Thus begins my new coaching agreement.
One of the takeaways from Lyssa Adkin’s Agile Coaching Bootcamp I attended with some colleagues in Boston a few weeks ago was the idea of creating a designed alliance to define the coaching relationship with that I have with my coachees or clients. The course highlighted the importance for me of developing a coaching agreement as part of designing that alliance with clients, even though the coaching I do now is all internal to my company.
So, I composed such a coaching agreement, and I have started to present it to the leaders within our organization that I coach on a weekly basis. I am excited for the more clearly defined coaching relationship that this will create for those that I have coaching conversations with. My focus for this year is to provide better service to my clients and design alliances with them that allow them be creative, resourceful and whole.
I am sure I will provide updates on this process in a later post.
Until the next iteration . . .
Jason
